Much of the literature on the stage theory of persistence (or exdurantism) ignores the consequences of relativity theory. Much of the literature on relativistic persistence ignores the stage theory. This paper fills this gap, by providing a clear formulation of exdurantism in locational terms that makes it fully compatible with a relativistic spacetime. It argues on this basis that the view is more radical, and far removed from perdurantism, than previously thought of, but that it nonetheless represents a promising contender in the debate that ought to be taken seriously.
