How not to Ground Persistence
In this paper, I review various approaches that introduce grounding to the persistence debate. In particular, I argue – against Wasserman (2016) – that a grounding formulation of the debate does not threaten the legitimacy of endurantism as a genuine theory of persistence. I then present and expand more fruitful uses of grounding in the debate due to Fine (2012).
